Press Conference 11:45 a.m.

In Dr, Allison Simons course Social Perspectives on Psychology students discussed the expression of emotion. This sparked a discourse between the perspective of being happy all the time, versus allowing yourself to feel emotions other than happiness. The conversation turned into a peaceful protest at 9:30-10:30 a.m. this morning, Wednesday, March 28. Both parties came to a peaceful agreement, there was no violence or slander that took place during the protest. For those interested in future protests our policies concerning students legal right to protest on campus can be found at We support our student’s free speech and value their freedom to express their perspectives in order to create an environment that fosters critical thinking. The safety of our students is and will always be our number one priority if you or someone you know finds themselves in the midst of a protest that violates the universities policy please call our security at 817-531-4911.
